When is a Skin Biopsy Needed?

Recovery & Aftercare

• Keep the biopsy site clean and dry for at least 24–48 hours.
• Follow wound care instructions provided by your dermatologist.
• Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness is normal and resolves within a few days.
• Report any signs of infection (excessive pain, pus, or redness) immediately.
• Stitches, if placed, are usually removed after 5–10 days depending on the site.
